jbel Saghro Trek and sahara Desert
Discover 5 days Saghro Morocco Trek, an immersive hiking adventure in southern Morocco exploring the pre-Saharan Saghro massif. Jebel Saghro captivates with its unique geology, offering a diversity of breathtaking landscapes: immense and jagged plateaus, vertiginous cliffs, deep gorges, steep peaks, majestic towers, and table-top escarpments gracefully traversed by camel caravans. The gorges are punctuated by boxwood bushes and conglomerate monoliths, adding to the wild beauty of this place.
Immerse yourself in a world bathed in warm light, where the south wind whispers the proximity of the Sahara. From September to May, this exceptional region of southern Morocco opens its doors to you, nestled between the Valley of Roses and the Draa Oasis, just before the vast desert expanses.
In a world flooded with warm light, the south wind tells us that the Sahara is very close. From September to May, we invite you to discover a magnificent region in southern Morocco, the Saghro massif, located in the south of the Valley of Roses, the last mountain before the Draa Valley and Oasis and vast desert areas.
The imposing volcanic Jebel Saghro massif, at 2,712 meters, reveals lunar landscapes of striking beauty: arid plateaus, sharp peaks, and deep canyons. It is also the transhumance territory of the Aït Atta tribe, who pitch their Bedouin tents and graze their herds of goats there, adding a touch of life and authenticity to this wild and grandiose landscape.
